This project was done for Owliver's Post during the Covid-19 pandemic. The comic is written by Anusha and Illustrated by me. This comic project is special because of the characters we chose, a crow and a girl are friends. The place the comic takes place is in a residential middle class neighbourhood in Chennai. This keeps the setting consistent, and the conversation always happens after school.
Now 3 year later, I certainly wish I had more time on my hands to make this comic even better than what it really is.Â
(Above) This is how the comic looked the first few weeks when I started to draw it. (Below) This is how it looked during the last several posts. The comic ran for 38 weeks, I would get the script in the beginning or mid week and finish drawing before Friday night or saturday morning. The colours became brighter, I used different perspectives, action lines and I loved making this comic for Owliver' Post.
This comic is the one I created where I used only the crow as a character, and I tried to explain a concept. I think I did very well both in terms of writing and drawing. I am looking for projects like this so do write to me, if you are interested in making educative comics for children.
